Nicole Kidman, 57, lights up the Oscars with bizarre film showing masturbation, sex scenes with young star that left her ‘ragged’.

Forget Eyes Wide Shut – this is Nicole Kidman’s weirdest movie yet.

The 57-year-old actress, who recently revealed she feels “sexier than ever”, is winning rave reviews for her fierce role in the upcoming erotic thriller Babygirl.

The film, scheduled for release on Christmas Day, sees Kidman play a New York business executive who begins a torrid affair with her new intern, played by Harris Dickinson, 28 .

Kidman – who won an Oscar in 2003 for her role in The Hours – is already making waves at awards season for the live-action film, which features some graphic sex and masturbation scenes.

“Babygirl” received rave reviews at the recent 2024 Venice Film Festival – and a four-star review from The Post

Last month, Kidman told Vanity Fair that filming the film’s erotic scenes left her “in tatters”.

“There’s something in me: ‘Okay, this is made for the big screen and to be seen with people. I’m not sure I have that much courage,'” she confessed to the newspaper.

“I’ve done some films that are quite expository, but not like this,” she explained of the “confrontation” experience.

“I never got over it, really,” Kidman said of filming the sex scenes. “It left me ragged.”

But Kidman, who is married to singer Keith Urban and has daughters Sunday, 16, and Faith, 13, had the film’s director, Halina Reijn, to help her through the tough times.

“At one point I was like I don’t want to be touched,” Kidman said. “I don’t want to do this anymore, but at the same time I was forced to do it. Halina would hold me, and I would hold her because she was just too confrontational with me.”

And the case stayed the same month after the shoot: “It’s like, ‘Golly, I’m doing this, and actually now it’s going to be seen by the world.’ It’s a very strange feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos. It’s not something that would normally be seen by the world.”

In addition to her 2003 win for “The Hours,” Kidman has already received four other Best Actress Oscar nominations for her roles in “Moulin Rogue!” The Rabbit Hole, The Lion and Being Ricardos.
